We work across three interconnected focus areas — because lasting peace requires addressing the roots of conflict, healing those it has hurt, and rebuilding communities from within.
PAN Foundation believes that sustainable peace is built from the inside out. External interventions can help — but only locally owned, culturally sensitive, community-led processes create change that endures. Our role is to equip, support, and amplify — not replace.
We work with people who are victims of violent conflict, bringing together voices from every background to make change that endures the test of time. Our approach is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and deeply respectful of Nigerian cultural and religious diversity.
Each pillar is distinct but deeply interconnected — because peace, healing, and belonging must all be built together.
We empower local communities to resolve conflicts through structured dialogue, grassroots initiatives, and culturally appropriate peacebuilding processes. From villages in Plateau State to urban neighborhoods in Kano, we go where the conflict is — and we stay until peace takes root.
Violent conflict leaves deep scars — physical, psychological, and social. PAN works directly with survivors of conflict violence to restore dignity, provide psychosocial care, advocate for their rights, and help them rebuild their lives in safety and with support.
Young Nigerians are both the most vulnerable to radicalization and the most powerful agents of peace. PAN's Youth Reintegration Program rescues young people from cycles of violence, provides pathways back into community life, and transforms them into the next generation of peacebuilders.
Every community we enter is different. But our process is consistent — because sustainable peace requires the same foundational steps every time.
We begin by listening deeply to communities — mapping conflicts, understanding histories, and identifying local peacebuilding assets that already exist.
We bring together all stakeholders — including those in conflict — in structured, facilitated dialogue processes designed to build trust and shared understanding.
We train local peacebuilders, establish community peace committees, and equip communities with the tools, skills, and systems to manage conflict independently.
We support communities long-term, advocate for policy changes that address root causes, and document lessons to strengthen Nigeria's broader peacebuilding ecosystem.
From the crisis-affected northeast to the ethnically diverse Middle Belt to the Niger Delta, PAN is on the ground in the communities that need peacebuilding most.
Your time, resources, or partnership can help us reach more communities, support more victims, and reintegrate more young people into peace.
